singing in German!

During ECA's International Program, second graders sang "The More We Get Together" in German! We learned some words in Danish from Mrs. Hammershoj, and greet each other in the mornings in Danish.

Fast fossils!

Over a few days, we made our own fossils, to show how rapidly they can form.

Caring for our Star...

Star is our pet hamster, who is becoming accustomed to "giants" handling her! Each week one group's job is to clean her cage on Monday, and feed her daily. She likes peels from vegetables, and gentle hands.

Cooperating is FUN!

During Friday Free Time, kids choose to do activities together, acting like friends.

courage...???

Mr. Moyer loaned a snake for us to observe. Some kids were brave enough to touch it!

Forgiving and forgiven

Mrs. Flor Trujillo and Mrs. Sol Izquierdo helped 2nd graders in the process of healing their hurts and hearts. Handshakes and hugs helped show kids were forgiving each other. Jesus was very present with us.

a visit from a "scientist"

Ms. Gomez brought "Copernicus" who explained his model of that scientist's discovery that the sun, NOT the earth, is the center of our universe. We enjoyed observing Daniel Gonzalez's interesting project.
